What is AAADM Inspector Certification?
AAADM Certified Training Courses provide an established training & verification program for Automatic Door Inspectors. These 2-day courses train to the current ANSI/BHMA standards for Swing/Slide and Folding Doors (A156.10,.19,.38)
AAADM Certification must be applied for. To become AAADM Certified, applicants must attend and pass the AAADM Certified Training Course.
The applicant will be credentialed, registered, and certified as an AAADM Certified Inspector upon completion.
AAADM Certified Training Courses are also available to those who do not meet the criteria to become AAADM Certified Inspectors (e.g., Architects, Engineers, Salespeople, Project Coordinators, Contractors, etc.).
Those who wish to seek more knowledge & training in the Automatic Door Industry about speeds, safety, and signage set forth by the current ANSI/BHMA standards for Swing/Slide and Folding Doors (A156.10,.19,.38), may AUDIT an AAADM Certified Training Course.
The auditor will not be credentialed or registered as an AAADM Inspector upon completion.
What are the Prerequisites for becoming an AAADM Certified Inspector?
Applicants must be employed by an AAADM full member company OR a business that is a Distributor of Automatic Pedestrian Doors by an AAADM full member Company, OR a company that derives 50% of its business from the sale, installation, or service of Full Power Automatic Pedestrian Doors & products that comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.10.
Applicants must have worked in the pedestrian door industry for 6 months immediately preceding the application for an AAADM Certified Training Course OR worked in the automatic pedestrian door industry for 3 months AND have taken a Factory Training Course of an AAADM Full Member.
Applicants must complete the AAADM Application and License Agreement and then be vetted by an AAADM Certified Trainer.
Applicants must remit $350 to AAADM.com three weeks preceding the AAADM Certified Training Courses and be able to provide a hard copy of their receipt to the AAADM Certified Trainer.
Applicants must attend and participate in the complete two-day AAADM Certified Training Course and pass a 50-question multiple-choice exam with an 80% grade or better, administered at the end of day 2. The NABCO Training Facility is located at our branch service office next to our headquarters:

How do I manage my AAADM Certified Inspector Credential?
Once certified, the Inspector must log into MYAAADM.com using their Email address and Inspector Number (credential #). A password must be set to update personal and employer information, print out Certificates/Inspector ID Cards, and pay future renewal fees.
