NABCO Entrances, Inc., a Muskego, WI based manufacturer of automatic entrance systems, recently partnered with Auto Desk to create high-quality, data-rich, 3D product models for use by the AECO (Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Owners) community in their building designs. NABCO will provide Revit users with state of the art BIM that will ensure accuracy and practical usability of NABCO’s automatic entrance product models.

NABCO’s BIM objects graphically represent their products in 3D, plan and elevation views and provide real-world behaviors and specifications. The BIM models are embedded with essential product information including CSI codes, links to spec’s and links to NABCO’s web site.

According to Larry Grassmann, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for NABCO, “Our BIM objects were created with maximum usability in terms of file size, detail and flexibility. Whenever possible an object is parametric to give designers maximum flexibility from a single object. In addition, our BIM models will be compatible with all three major BIM software platforms: Autodesk Revit, Bentley and ArchiCAD.”
